AC has been okay so far. I'm not disliking it but I'm not exactly digging it either. Mass rallies are awesome, games are not. The worst games, aka mud games, have yet to come though :( AC is huge, but the toilets suck. Today's introductory lectures scared me, especially the Econs one. I'm lost/confused/undecided as to which subjects to take now. I did the ELL selection test today. It was tough and I regret crapping it. But oh well, what to do about it now? The cool thing about the test though, even though it was crappy, was that it was on Grizzly Bear!!!!!!! And it mentioned Bon Iver, Sufjan Stevens & Fleet Foxes. Cool shit omg!

I'm missing IJ. I miss morning hymns. There are morning prayers, but they feel weird anyway because I can't do the sign of the cross. And the prayers feel different; I don't know why because they're still prayers, but they just do. Chapel on monday, I really hope it's okay. The boys haven't started to annoy me yet. But I think they will, soon. And it's really crazy that there are 950 j1s. Crowded much? Like everywhere you go, seriously. And school starting at 7.25 and ending at 6+ during orientation really sucks. I'm effing exhausted. TGIF!!! And IJ kids who read this, I miss you guys. Peace out y'all, I'm off to bed!

I got in. I don't know how, but I did. Because 2 others from IJ who got the same score as me didn't get in. Just goes to show you sucky and unfair life is :/ I was vvv happy when I saw the message from MOE though; I woke up at 8.45, by myself, because I was so damn worried over posting results (the message came in at 6.54 eh, crazy people). But now I just feel uncertain? I can't exactly put a word to it. Because AC took in A LOT of people this year, 200 more than last year and it sucks to know that I made it through but barely. And I feel awful for those 2 who didn't get in.

I guess I should be happy though. And excited. I think I would be excited if I wasn't having such a bad headache from waking up so early. Because tomorrow marks a new start in life. Okay, that's actually kinda scary too but. Watch me, I'm gonna be open-minded! I hope. And I hope I love it in AC. Seriously. But omg, this officially officially means that I have allegiance to another school apart from IJ. :( And it's a school that's Methodist and has boys and many people. OMG.

Back in IJ for Thanksgiving Mass at normal school time today! Omg it felt so good!!! Waking up at 6 and sleeping for only 4 hours was worth it (tried sleeping early but my mind wouldn't rest because I hadn't slept so early for the longest time :/). 'Twas nice to see everyone - 4/2 '09, rest of the graduating batch, juniors, teachers (Mrs Alex was missing though). 'Twas nice to have an IJ mass, hymns are almost always perfect. Mass was followed by a reception then pizzas, courtesy of Mr Teh specially for 4/2 :) It's sad that we didn't attend morning assembly (I miss morning prayer + hymn!) and didn't walk around the school while the juniors were having lessons though. And omg I realised that!!! Today was the last time that we'd be in IJ belonging to & knowing IJ as the only school. As of tomorrow, when the JAE postings are out, we'll officially belong to jcs/polys!!! Omg kill me now, I don't ever wanna leave the comforts of IJ :(

And omg, I found out from Yunlu today that Coach quit coaching?!?!?! What the shit, seriously. I can't believe he never told me this when we were talking about AC. Because if I don't get into AC, this would totally make an impact in my decision on whether or not to appeal. Women coaches (Boss & Coach Haw) will just make me dislike shooting even more.

It's a little less than 12 hours til' the release of JAE postings omg! I hope and pray that I get in, unless it's not the right place for me. Because I really want a new life dammit.

Omg so the minute after I blogged that last post, I logged on to twitter and found out that The Killers in S'pore got cancelled. OMG WHAT THE FUCK!!!!!!!! Seriously. The Killers :( Brandon Flowers :( The top act on my "Top 5 Acts To Watch Before I Die" list :( What's worse is that they're taking a hiatus after their shows in Australia. What if they never get back together?!?!?!?! This sucks. Big time. I can't watch The Killers anymore! Wah lao eh. I feel so cheated - all the excitement leading up to this weekend because it was gonna be one of the biggest highlights of my life thus far; all the excitement from listening to The Killers non-stop and preparing myself for the concert; feeling so psyched, in general, that I was gonna watch The Killers. This is, and will be, the biggest upset of the year. I am heartbroken :(

Brandon Flowers & the rest of the Killers on Sunday! I'm so excited hee hee. Brandon Flowers + The Killers (inserts heart here - blogger sucks and I can't type it out) I can't wait for Mr Brightside, All These Things That I've Done, Spaceman. And I'm really hoping that they'd do The World We Live In & Under The Gun but what are the chances of that? :( Anyway, because The Killers are on my "Top 5 Acts To Watch Before I Die" list and I can cross them out soon, here's my new list of "Top 5 Acts To Watch Before I Die":

1. John Mayer
2. Radiohead
3. Death Cab For Cutie (they probably won't come back to S'pore anytime soon ):)
4. Stars (ditto)
5. Arcade Fire

Of course if the Beatles were still around, it'd be a different list. After The Killers, there's Kings Of Convenience to look forward to :D Wish I was going for Florence + The Machine too though, her voice is amazing! But then I don't know ANYONE who listens to her, bah humbug. I really really really hope I find people who listen to good music in jc hee hee.

Anyway, while I'm at lists, here are 15 places to visit before I die:

1. Greece
2. South Africa
3. Melbourne
4. San Francisco
5. Chicago
6. New York
7. London
8. Paris
9. Amsterdam
10. Sweden
11. Italy
12. Spain
13. Brazil
14. the Caribbean
15. Turkey

I love making lists! I'd totally get those list books from either kikki. k or woodwould if I had money to spend HAH.

Note: This post is indulgent, I'm gonna sound like a snob.

While I love how I can re-watch Glee because Starworld started showing it, I hate how popular it's become :/ It feels so uncool already because EVERYONE is watching it. And they're all stealing Finn away from me :/

If you've been a Gleek too before Starworld started showing it, yay us! Especially if you have the Glee music too heh heh.

Okay goodbye, I really sound like a snob.

I submitted my JAE applications!!! I really really really hope that I made the right choices and that I get into AC! Like everyone says, pray to God! Thing though, is that I feel bad for not putting CJ as my first choice. Because it's Catholic and I'm praying that I get into another school instead. Plus it's like the most natural place to go after 10 years of IJ! But oh well, I'll end up in CJ if I'm meant to end up there anyway since it's my 2nd choice.

Coach told me today that he'll try talking to the AC teacher before posting results, cos it might make it easier for me to get in. But omg shit, if I really get in through Coach then I hafta continue with shooting? :( I didn't dare tell Coach that I didn't really think that I'd like to continue :/ I mean if I have to appeal through shooting when I don't get into AC then I wouldn't mind. But for now I'd like to have options, yknow :/

Survived results on monday, I'm pretty okay with them. Not as good as what I was (secretly) hoping for, but better than what I was expecting. Exciting part of monday though, was getting stuck at the toilet in PS Cafe and having the staff rescue me. HAHA.

Left CJ & NJ open houses yesterday feeling very unimpressed. But then I fell in love (sort of) with AC at its open house today! So now, I'm 95% settled on AC arts. Before the AC open house, I was a very fickle, lost & confused soul. Oh, the wonders of AC! It even has a hot angmoh KI teacher. If he happens to teach me anything & has a hot Brit accent, I'd totally fail that subject. I'm not as scared about the AC people anymore. And I knew it was fate when we entered AC and Tik Tok was playing on the overhead speakers, because Mao & I were thinking and talking about Tik Tok on the journey between Holland V & the AC gates. I am also now pretty keen on ELL even though the selection test requires an argumentative essay, which I've never done before. I'll fall back on History & Lit if I don't get into ELL, I think I'm quite sure of that now. Therefore, AC arts!!! Hope I get in! Because practically everyone's trying for AC, because everyone came to the AC open house today and fell in love with it. And if I don't get in, I suppose I could appeal with Coach's help (I guess I wouldn't mind AC shooting :/).

So there, I have it all planned out (except for subject combis). I just hope I'm making the right choice. And that I get in :/

Back from Egypt on Monday. My body clock is quite screwed up I think. Anyway, Alexandria was a nice city, I loved the Mediterranean Sea! It even had H&M and Bershka in its huge mall, but they weren't very good. They only had the biggest sizes for clothes ever.

School has started for the primary & secondary schools and I'm missing IJ so bad!!! This year's school diary has a nice cover, Mrs Alex is gone (kind of, she's a master teacher at MOE), 35-minute periods have been changed to 20-minute blocks. So many changes; I wish I knew them all, it's hard to let go of IJ matters sigh :( Met a few of the shooters for late lunch at Pizza Hut in TP today. 'Twas nice walking around Central, seeing some familiar faces. What I really hated though, was the bus ride down Bukit Timah. Seeing groups of secondary school students in their uniforms and with their schoolbags & textbooks, made me feel so old :( Before (when I was still in secondary school sigh), I'd see groups of secondary school students around and feel like I had something in common in them, look around to see if I knew anyone, maybe check some of the boys out (HA HA). Now I look at them, notice the awkward/loser ways I had (maybe still have HAHA), wonder how some of them could possibly be younger than me, still try to notice the things we have/had in common, feel ancient.

It really doesn't help that O level results come out on Monday, JC starts in late Jan and that I'm turning 17 in a month :(

Happy New Year y'all!!! Kinda late but it's still New Year's Day here in Egypt :)

Egypt is so awesome!! I love the temples! & the stars, especially those in the Sahara Desert (I think). The mummies & tombs are cool too. So are most Egyptians, except for people selling stuff in the streets or those who aggressively try to take your money (these people are really scary). Some hot tourists here too - I like! So far I've also seen lookalikes of Rob Pattinson & Kostos from Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants. Sailing on the Nile was cool although I was disappointed that there weren't hippos around. The camel ride turned out to be kinda fun too though my thighs hurt from it omg.

In Cairo now where the stars & air condition suck. Not many hot tourists here sigh. But there are quite a few cute old cars here and many old VW vans :)

Oh yes Qatar Airways is awesome btw. The Killers Live In Royal Albert Hall (Y).

Off to Alexandria tomorrow, exciting stuff :) I hope the nightsky is awesome hee.
